 FARNBOROUGH LIGHTS

(Sunday)YOU ARE ALL BUSY as Christmas approaches

HAVE FUN and DON'T FORGET TO PUT YOUR FESTIVE PICTURES ON CLUB WEBSITES AND TWEET EVENTS AND ROUTES  FOR FATHER CHRISTMAS!
As usual a small group of Rotarians from our Club joined the local village members to prepare Farnborough for the 'switch- on' of the Christmas lights. We closed the road and erected a tent outside the Change of Horses, the pub where we meet each Monday evening. It was dry and there was a new  tent  rather than the old one without instructions, so the  jigsaw puzzle was easier this year. Brian and Keith are considering where to start, while PE Chris just gets on with the job!!! A swift warm job this year, with  good hot drinks.   Not too many disagreements on which  pieces fitted together!!

LANGLEY PARK   SMALL CHRISTMAS HAMPERS

(Monday)
I noticed in the weekly Langley Park Newsletter that they were  not only filling Shoe Boxes this year, but also collecting Christmas food and treats to distribute locally.  This is in addition to collections and supporting other local events over the festive period. I was happy to deliver a hamper to them, before meeting  up with one of their members in a COSTA  to discuss their offer of helping on the District Team. Thank you Andrew.

Well Done Langley Park

COOKING FOR THE BROMLEY NIGHT SHELTER GUESTS

(Wednesday) Thank you to our guests for a super evening. Under  Chef President Keith's watchful eye we prepared a delicious meal  for 15 plus guests and supporters. We appreciated the  accolades for our cooking (Well Keith par-cooked most at home but we accepted the thank yous!!) It was a really fun evening working with 4 fellow Rotarians doing something  worthwhile. It was good to know that there would be warm accommodation for the night  for the guests after their meal.

PROJECT EXCHANGE CARDS

THINK ABOUT WHICH PROJECT YOUR CLUB  WOULD LIKE TO SHARE. (For the New Year)

Here's a sample- thank you Jarle

This week I have been sending out information to your AGs about the Project Exchange cards we are asking Clubs  if they would like to complete, so that we can share across the District next September at ENGAGE. You are all doing so many wonderful projects. Please consider choosing  one or two projects you are proud of  to share with other clubs. Cards will be printed for ENGAGE and then all projects will be featured on our website. AGs can support you with this  and help to identify with you a range of projects at Home, Away, Fund Raising and Service. sometimes the simple projects really work well.
Thank you Celia for providing low res images for me.

On Friday I delivered one of the recent pictures I had sold at a London Exhibition.  now hanging in an apartment in the Barbican Complex. a long way from my inspiration in India, when I went for the NID. don't forget to  tweet pictures from India if you are taking part this year.

I was way away working in North Devon  until yesterday and tonight it's first night out with Santa.
See you next week.
