Feet not touching the ground!
SO MUCH HAS HAPPENED
Well its early March so I thought I would do a catch up with you all.
SAN DIEGO
A long way to go for my DG Training, but I can assure you that the training was WORLD CLASS .
It was a privilege to be with DG's in waiting from 52 other countries. I was overwhelmed by the impact that Rotary is making Worldwide and it was wonderful to learn about and share projects, issues and hopes for Rotary in the future. I hope to share some of my experiences at President Elect Training and at Assembly.
Barry Rassin, will be the President of Rotary International next year and he announced the theme for the year and shared his hopes for Rotary next year and into the future.
The presentations by young rotarians were really inspiring!
Look at these 2 videos if you are interested in reaching the younger generation. They are certainly 'food for thought' and give an insight into the thinking of young people and the value they place on Rotary opportunities.

I visited a Paradise Valley local Rotary Club while in San Diego. They met on an Industrial Estate , in the business premises of one of their members. What a warm welcome shared with rotarians again from all over the world. 4 new members were inducted on that evening, by President Jo Santos below.

VISIT TO DEAL ROTARY CLUB
I had a very warm welcome when I visited Deal Rotary Club recently. It was so good to see a new member being inducted into such a vibrant club. Thank you David and Marlene for my invitation.
YOUNG MUSICIAN COMPETITION
ROTARY IN THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BROMLEY
A wonderful evening at the Bromley Youth Music Trust
Our Rotary Trotman Cup winner Sophie, along with Jo are both representing the South East District at the Regional finals- Sunday 22 March in Reading. I hope that our rotarians will support both Sophie and Jo.
Well done!
THANK YOU TO OUR 2018-19 AGS AND DG

THE BEAST FROM THE EAST
Very disappointing to have to postpone PETs
Thank you everyone for being so understanding about the change of date. Clearly many rotarians would not have made it to Maidstone and when we heard that the Oakwood House boiler had broken down, we could make no other decision.
Thank you to all who have helped with the rescheduling and finding new venue .....
