SEVENOAKS HANDOVER IN BILL OGLEY's LOVELY GARDEN
This was a very special occasion as it was the celebration of a second generation within the Sevenoaks Club taking on the responsibilities of Rotary Service in the town. The baton has been passed to the satellite members, who are now taking the lead as THE ROTARY CLUB OF SEVENOAKS , very much supported and encouraged by the experienced rotarians of the traditional Sevenoaks Club. Bill Ogley talked about the amazing service programmes that the club had been involved in. Watch this space- We hope there will be a book arriving soon documenting many of them It will be a fascinating read.
Good luck Simon and Heather Jane who will be sharing the President's role over the next 2 years.
I look forward to visiting you and helping with your activities.

Good Luck President Derek You have a good year ahead of you.
CHELSFIELD FAIR WITH ORPINGTON AND ORPINGTON CROFTON CLUBS
Having a go at finding the real wine bottles- Failed again only water for me. It was good to see people had turned out at least for part of the afternoon before the England football match started and the Spitfire flyover was carefully timed for Half - Time
It was great to have a sunny day for the fair but Rotarians kept to the water rather take the wine.
I managed to make the Marie Curie Tea organised by Frances from Orpington Crofton , and get back to watch the match. Well done Frances. Good timing !

I have a new nick name. No longer the pocket rocket but on Sunday was christened Little Chef. The apprentice chef at the Community BBQ run by Ashford Club. It was fantastic. Sunshine, Bouncy Castle. Fab food and old fashioned races like egg and spoon and sack races. Excellent.
What a lovely bunch of rotarians you are. A wonderful afternoon. Well done and thank you for letting me join you all.
Bryan the AG for the South Central Area was helping too and was allowed to cut burger and hot dog rolls. He brought Carol, to help. And she thought this year would be easy !!!
Watch out Rick Stein Ian and John are heading your way.
